Mackenzie wrote his first poem aged 13 but didn’t produce
anything readable until 20 years later when New Writing
Scotland accepted two. He performed regularly at the Bar
Brel’s monthly poetry slot in Glasgow in the late 1990’s. In
Turin he wrote two novels, both of which have sat in a box ever
since. He now lives in Edinburgh with his wife and
three-year-old daughter, and works as minister of St David’s
Church, Broomhouse. |
